Last updated: March 24, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Storing (“the Service”), including our websites at storing.app and use.storing.app, CLI tools, APIs, and MCP server, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
Storing is a cloud image optimization SaaS that classifies, compresses, and converts images stored in cloud storage buckets or uploaded directly. The Service is accessible via a web dashboard, command-line interface (CLI), API, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) server.
3. Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including passwords and API keys. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Each person may maintain only one account.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload, store, or process any content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
- Attempt to bypass or exceed rate limits or usage quotas.
- Use the Service to compete with or replicate the Service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Share your account credentials or API keys with unauthorized parties.
5. Guest Demo
The Service offers a free guest demo that does not require account registration. The guest demo is limited to 10 images per day and 5 MB per file. Files submitted through the guest demo are processed and permanently deleted within 72 hours. No data is retained beyond this period.
6. Intellectual Property
We do not claim any ownership rights over your images or other content you upload to the Service. Compressed and converted outputs are your property. You retain all rights to your content.
The Storing name, logo, and service are the intellectual property of Storing. You may not use our branding without prior written permission.
7. Cloud Provider Access
When you connect a cloud storage bucket (AWS S3 or Google Cloud Storage), you grant Storing permission to access that bucket solely for the purpose of listing, reading, and writing image files as part of the optimization service. We do not access files or data beyond what is necessary to provide the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the authority to grant this access. You may disconnect a bucket at any time from the dashboard.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Storing shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may delete your account from the Settings page or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.
Upon termination, we will delete your account data within 30 days. Compressed files in staging are deleted within 72 hours regardless of account status.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in a mutually agreed-upon jurisdiction.
